Current temporary vacancy: Moderator(s) needed!

Dear all,

We are delighted to see how the forum has started to shape out in this first month, and are glad that it has taken off in the way it has. With the increased demand, we feel that we are going to need some extra hands to help us along the way.
In addition to this, both myself and Scary have other engagements looming over us presently and into the near future, meaning this cry for help is made ever more desperate.
With this in mind, we would like to open up two potential job opportunities to you, the members of this board. We are looking to employ two enthusiastic people to temporarily fill the post of “moderator” on the forum during this rough patch. This period will probably extend to at least Easter-time, possibly longer, and if a successful candidate excels, showing originality and flare, we may consider offering them the position permanently.
As the forum is fairly quiet, and thus far unsavory behavior has been kept to a minimum, in addition to the normal moderator duties, we would like to consider these posts as also “development directors”. In this, we are currently looking at expanding our borders and putting NerdSoup upon the map as it were, thus we feel that a successful candidate would also be able to fulfill these duties to keep them from getting bored!
Duties would include; promotions, looking at investing in partnerships, visiting similar forums, and perhaps gaining inspiration by representing us there, ideas for internal development etc.

The application process will work as follows:

• Candidates are required to write a 'letter' of application to myself and Scary, in PM form. The message must be no more than 200 words, and should briefly outline why you think you are best suited for the job. Please note that all applicants must have a clean record (ie no warnings) to even be considered.
• The letters will be reviewed and discussed by the administrators.
• A public poll will be posted on the forum. Please note that this will only be one form of assessment, and the results of the poll will not necessarily determine the outcome.
• Administrators will choose two successful applicants based on the factors above, and also our general opinion of you as a members.
• The successful applicants will announced shortly thereafter.

The DEADLINE for applications is Sunday 2nd Feb, at 18.00 GMT
