Just seen the special steam train service, "The Tin Bath" going over Penistone viaduct, got a great view from our window, was an awesome sight given the rarity of such an event Very Happy

I was debating with myself whether this was a post for the frown or smile thread but I think it's a smile at the core.
Today was the funeral of my Grandad. A Celebration for the life of one of the greatest, kindest and most heartwarming person that I have ever known. He can finally, truly rest now; something he has be longing to do for a long time. He held on to celebrate his diamond wedding with his dearest wife, and my Grandmother. It was always for other people, he never wanted to cause trouble and this is why he was such a great person. When I say he put other people first, he really did. He never wanted to hassle other people and often refused help from others. I am sad that such a beautiful and wonderful human being has been taken from us, but I am happy that he is at peace. He has been so ill and really didn't want to suffer any longer.
He made his life worthwhile and I am happy that he passed away in his home, with his wife of 60 years and 3 children at his bedside. I can smile knowing that he is happy and wouldn't want us to be sad as it's what he wanted in the end.
Rest in peace Grandad, you deserve it.

Had a pretty good day today, been out shopping and got some new clothes (a rare occasion) for myself, as well as a few other bits such as Jessie J's book for £2.99. Currently listening to The Wanted's new album which is actually very good considering I wasn't a fan of their singles from the first two albums.
