Just thought I'd let people know that I have begun animating again after a long break due to A-Levels. I uploaded last November for Doctor Who's 50th and recently a Batman figure animation to get things going again.

Click here to go to my channel!

I usually do animations with Doctor Who figures, but I'll probably go into a few Batman things every so often. I'll be uploading much more often now that school is done for me. I am at home for the next year, so I hope to get stuff out. Most of the animations I'll be putting out will be under about three minutes. I'll do more scene recreations, my own short scenes and probably some comic book adaptations. I don't intend to do stories anymore as I'm hopeless at writing anything good and animating one thing for months (like my Mars story) was getting on my nerves.

Please have a look at my videos and subscribe. If you have anything in mind that I could animate, please suggest something in this thread, or even post a comment on my YouTube channel or recent videos. Please suggest scenes from comic books to adapt as that is something I'm finding really interesting at the moment.

Cool. I really want to be making more animations now that I've finally uploaded again. I've got a few ideas for Batman animations, but I think my next will be Who-related. Let me know if you have any ideas for more animation.

Thanks. Thought I'd appear on camera for this one. I won't be doing it too often.

I wanted to have a dalek look silly. I had recently watched a really old clip switching out terrifying dalek music with silly music but on the same clip. Very funny, so I put the Flumps theme to him at the end.

Well, the ceiling is fixed (after the dalek encounter). I have my room redecorated and I am back in. I have my animation stuff and figures easily accessible now, so I have finished the hard slog of an animation I started before the work. I'm editing now.

If you're wondering what genuinely happened to the ceiling, we have a loft room upstairs and a small en suite attached to it. It seems as though (seven years ago when it was put in) that there was a gradually leaking pipe connecting water to the shower. The seal on it wasn't done correctly (or something). Our house is Edwardian and very slight drips had put seeping through the loft floor (wood) into my ceiling (wood) and about 100 years worth of plaster. The weight of water had pulled the visible painted plaster and board down causing Edwardian grime and filth to litter my bedroom. It also decided that 1.30am was a good time for this. Naturally, I woke up... screaming...

Just within the rules here, so this isn't a double post. Thought I'd put my new animation on here for everyone to see. This was shot half before the work and half after. Hopefully, the join is not noticeable. Guess where the new footage starts... I dare you.

Very good! Animation was smooth, voices were clear and the storyline was brilliant! Good job!

Thanks. I've been trying to perfect the camera positioning. I don't have a tripod, so I use Blu-Tack, books and a music stand. I really ought to invest in one. I've also decided to record voices on my phone, so I've been playing with that recently.

The only thing I get annoyed with is the instability of my music stand. The thing is 30 years old (it belonged to my mum). It also means I can't have a great range of camera angles, which bugs me.
