Where's Scary gone?

Everyones been talking of Scary leaving but I've seen no announcements?

It's only temporary. He's put a notice in his signature.
He's setting himself a bit of a challenge this year - he's giving up the internet for Lent! I can't help but admire him for it though, I know I'd certainly die without it.

As for why there was no announcement - well, it's only temporary, and maybe he doesn't want to attract loads of attention with it. It is his personal goal after all, so who he tells is up to him I guess.
This has been one of the reasons we employed the Temp. Mods, so it has been on the cards for a while.

Ah ok Fair enough and fair play. An announcement would've been nice as if we have any problem we know not to go to him, but I suppose we know now

Well, I'd hope that you'd contact more than one of us if you ever had a problem, as it generally helps to get things dealt with quicker

He did do his announcement not on here but on two of his vids,

It appears he's been on Facebook…hmmmm….

How can you tell? He may have just clicked on it by accident on his phone or something?

He' liked and shared several pages (which could be done automatically by Facebook, yes) but he also updated his status, selling his phone.

Hrm, he could have got someone else to post it for him. Something like a phone sale is quite important I guess.

He told me he's just giving up the forum, hopeless git :laugh:

So this is the last day as moderator for me and DE101, unless one or both of us decide to go for the permanent position (personally I haven't decided yet).

When it says it ends on Easter Saturday, doesn't it mean that today is the last day you have to not do the thing you give up, and you can do it again on Easter Sunday? Which is why people eat their chocolate eggs on Sunday, because that's the day people who give up chocolate can eat it again? What do I know, I'm an atheist, it's just that's how I understood it.

Lent ends today according to Google. So I blame them if it doesn't in fact end until tomorrow. :laugh:

Well, I think it gave the first and last days of Lent inclusive, because it said the first day was Ash Wednesday, not Pancake day. I always thought you came off of Lent on Easter Sunday. It does seem the appropriate time after all.
Meh, I'm just being picky. There's only 7> hours of today left, and I guess you came off the internet before midnight on Shrove Tuesday, so I don't suppose it matters anyway. It's still a massive achievement being away for that length of time, so I commend you sir!
