Well do you have two of each figure? If not, id suggest getting another of each just to be safe. But im sure you will be fine.

This is one I have done before it is pretty straight forward. The reason I don't make more of them is simply that one ingredient is hard to come by here in the States.
What you Need...
Jabe (Tree Lady form Series 1)
any old Silurian.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. put both figures in the water for about 10 minutes.
-Remove both figures from the water. you can now pull the heads and hands off of them. After they are dry and cooled repaint Jabe's dress Purple and Black.
Once the paint is dry glue the Silurian head on the Jabe body the hands pop intoplace as well. Unfortunaly head artiuliation is not possibble without a TON more work becasue of the way the neck joints are
The Finished product looks pretty good...

Thanks Guys...
It is possible but I always thought that the bottom of the dress was too wide...
If it were me and Jabe was not gettable my next choice would be an Amy Pond. I would use oven bake clay called sculpy to make the skirt longer... or perhaps a waitress figure from a company called accutorments... that is the body I used to create Jenny Flint

Re: Advice on customizing figures
I usually use any figure I can come by. Giving yourself and easy base like what Kevin suggested is probably best to start out with. When you've done a few and get really good at sculpting, you can use anything. The Gelth zombie might work if you want her in one of her more recent 19th century, gothic dresses. I always use a little artistic imagination with some costumes as they're not always interesting and even if they are in reality, getting texture of materials right on a small scale is difficult and they end up quite boring. But I'd take the advice about buying second figures of the ones you want to use. You don't want to stop halfway through a job not liking what you're doing and end up with fewer figures. Enjoy the making process though.

I need some advice on Turlough. I'm using a Master figure and painting his hair orange but I'm worried about the eyebrows and tie!

Re: Advice on customizing figures
The tie is easy enough. Try using a thin brush. For the eyebrows, i usually use the tip of a sharp knife, but id get your parent to help you with that. Hope this helps
Re: Advice on customizing figures
I always use the tip of a number 2 pencil for detail work. Probably safer than a knife.

I used a Toby figure for my Turlough, then painted the details with a very fine brush.
Hope this help in anyway

Re: Advice on customizing figures
I found a James Lester from Primeval works a bit better just bescuse the patteren is already on the tie... Also I always felt that that Saxon Master was a little short.
It works well to remove head and coat. paint the shirt and tie then reattach the head with glue. Note a Toby head is a "hole' neck and the james lester body is a peg neck so there really cant be any head articulation without a LOT of work.

Re: Advice on customizing figures
I sometimes use the sharp end of a needle. It takes a while, but you can if you're careful, get a really fine finish. Sometimes I just leave eyebrows though from the previous figure as the colour e.g. brown and orange are so similar and many people don't have exactly the same colour eyebrows as their hair.
