Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Went to see this on Tuesday! WOW! It was absolutely stunning... It was perfect in every way. There were plenty a scene that brought a tear to the eye. Every single shot was meaningful, nothing was wasted. The action had depth to it, it wasn't just a cool fight scene that looked awesome, it actually felt like the stakes were real. Everything about this film felt so real, despite it being a sci-fi/fantasy film. The CGI on the apes is stunning. I actually forgot that the apes were CGI until the end scene where they zoom in on Caesar's face and I thought "Wow, I can't believe this scene isn't an actual ape's face, it looks so real."

You guys know how much I loved Man of Steel and Avengers, but I actually enjoyed this film more. This is definitely a new favourite that I couldn't recommend highly enough, second only to Star Wars.
